Frequently Asked Questions about Shower Filters
Why install an anti-limescale and anti-chlorine shower filter?
In many areas, shower water can have high lime content and contain chlorine, which affects daily comfort. An anti-limescale shower filter helps reduce chlorine, limescale, and certain impurities, making shower water more pleasant and leaving skin and hair softer. Results may vary depending on your region and water quality.
How can I filter my shower water?
There are two simple options:
- A shower filter that screws between the mixer tap and the hose (or between the hose and the showerhead).
- A filtering showerhead with integrated filtration.
In both cases, installation takes only a few minutes, with no plumbing work required, helping to reduce chlorine, limescale, and impurities, while maintaining a comfortable showering experience.
Is the shower filter compatible with my showerhead or handheld shower?
In most cases, yes: most installations use a standard G1/2 (1/2”) connection. The filter simply screws into the shower hose. If your shower has a specific thread or a non-standard configuration, you may need an adapter; check the connection type before ordering.
When should I replace the shower filter cartridge?
Generally, the cartridge should be replaced every 6 months (or according to the indicated capacity) to maintain effective filtration against chlorine, limescale, and impurities. If your water is very hard or usage is high, you may want to replace it sooner. Regular replacement also helps maintain good flow and long-term performance.
